De Rossi set for Boca stay?

Former Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has reportedly agreed to extend his stay with Boca Juniors until 2021.

It was previously reported that everything had depended on whether or not Nicolas Burdisso would stay on as Boca sporting director.

The club are also holding presidential elections in December, but Ole writes De Rossi has already committed to signing a new contract, taking him through to March 2021.

The 36-year-old joined the Argentine giants from Roma over the summer, but injuries have limited him to just five appearances.

Nonetheless, he now looks unlikely to return to his hometown team any time soon.
