Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt jokes had he not become a professional footballer, he would’ve become an agent “to beat Mino Raiola”.
The Dutchman was interviewed by France Football after he won the Kopa Trophy for best under-21 player in Europe of 2018-19.
“If I hadn’t become a footballer, I would’ve become an agent to try and beat Mino Raiola! Or I would have tried to recruit him myself.

“All jokes aside, I never thought about what I could be. I was obsessed with becoming a footballer. My parents agreed, but I had to finish my studies first.”
De Ligt believes last season at Ajax was his best as a professional.
He helped them win a domestic double and reach the Champions League semi-finals, knocking out Juve on the way.
“My best memory was last season in its entirety. We won the League and Dutch Cup, plus we got very close to the Champions League Final.”
The 20-year-old left Ajax for the Bianconeri over the summer in a reported €75m deal.
