After their 0-0 draw at home to Atalanta on Sunday, fans were unhappy with the performance which has seen them languishing in 14th place, leading to suggestions Coach Paulo Sousa only has three games in which to save his job.
Corvino, however, was keen to put the emphasis on circumstances and player performances as he spoke to Sky Sport Italia.
"After seven useful results, we lost against Torino. Today we have not lost, it was a draw.
"I believe that we must find the right balance to find continuity. In the summer we kept hold of players and definitely expected more from them.
"We believe that these results have been born of a difficult time that the team is going through and we will emerge from this situation as a result of hard work.
"Badelj and Borja Valero? Anyone can go through a bad time. I am convinced that those have excited our fans in recent years will rediscover their form.
"We have only lost twice this season including one defeat against Juventus. Behind the attack we have found compactness and balance, now we have to find the balance up front."
