Fabrizio Corsi confirms Juventus will sign Hamed Traore, he pulled the plug on Ismael Bennacer’s Napoli move and that Empoli are ‘starting from scratch’.
Traore is on his way to Juve after a proposed transfer to Fiorentina fell through, although the teenage midfielder is expected to be sent straight to Cagliari or Sassuolo.
“There’s an agreement for Traore, closing is a formality,” Corsi told Radio Bruno.

“We’ll see each other in the coming days. We have a friendly and family relationship, so much so that they’re also taking our Primavera Coach.
“I think the Bianconeri now only need to decide which other club they’ll finalise the transfer with.”
The Tuscans’ patron then revealed how he stopped Bennacer from joining Napoli.
“Bennacer is wanted by so many teams, now he’s at the Africa Cup of Nations and he’s not even picking up the phone!
“The player was almost sold to Napoli a month and a half ago, but I didn’t close the deal. I took my time because it didn’t seem right to me.”
Empoli were relegated to Serie B last season but won plaudits for their commitment to youth and stylish approach.
“We’ve been relegated with a team of youngsters. They’ve improved a lot thanks to Andreazzoli, who is a maestro and did very well on his return.
“We were once a UEFA Cup team. It’s a shame about our relegation, but I’m consoled by the words they use about us throughout Italy.
“We come away from our relegation looking better than when we won promotion last year.
“We know we must revolutionise the squad and start from scratch. Very few players will stay.
“We’ll start over with lots of young players.”
