New Chievo boss Eugenio Corini has admitted that he hopes to take inspiration from what Antonio Conte has achieved at Juventus.

Corini replaced Mimmo Di Carlo on the Verona bench this week and he’ll make his Serie A coaching debut against Sampdoria this weekend.

“A Coach like Conte, who was a teammate of mine at Juventus, is the emblem of modern football,” the former playmaker noted.

“He was able to reshape Juventus by doing what he thought would be best for the team. It’s no coincidence that he was able to radically change them with the players that he found at his disposal.

“We need to try to do the same.”

Juventus finished seventh in Serie A for two consecutive seasons until Conte arrived and immediately led them to the Scudetto.
