The right-back completed his transfer from Atalanta this afternoon for €24m plus midfielder Matteo Pessina.
“It’s difficult to describe what I am feeling at this moment,” the 23-year-old said on Milan TV.
“It will be an honour to wear this shirt. As soon as I knew Milan were interested, I immediately decided I had to play with this shirt. It was a long negotiation process, but it ended in the best way.
“I know the club made a real effort to sign me and I will try to repay that faith. It’s a dream I’ve had since childhood of wearing the Milan jersey and I can’t wait to get started.
“I am so hungry to play in Europe too. I’ve got a few more days of vacation, but I’m really fired up. Milan have been away from the Champions League for too long and deserve to be in it as soon as possible.”
Conti is fresh from the semi-finals of the European Under-21 Championship.
“I heard from (ex-Atalanta teammate Gabriel) Paletta and (Azzurrini teammate Davide) Calabria, they are both happy I’m here.”
