Salernitana expect Tottenham to make a decision on Pape Matar Sarr by tomorrow, but Antonio Conte seems unwilling to part ways with the 20-year-old.
The Serie A side are interested in the Senegal international and confirmed their interest last weekend through sporting director Morgan De Sanctis, a former goalkeeper of Roma, Napoli and Juventus.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Salernitana expect Tottenham to make a decision on Sarr by tomorrow, but Conte seems unlikely to loan out the promising midfielder.
The Italian tactician has been using Sarr more consistently in January also following Rodrigo Bentancur’s adductor injury. Sarr has made three appearances across all competitions this month, two in the Premier League as a substitute and one in the FA Cup as a starter.
Therefore, Conte seems willing to let the midfielder go in January and it appears unlikely that Fabio Paratici will give his green light to Sarr’s loan move to the Stadio Arechi in the current transfer window.
