Stefano Colantuono expects Atalanta to face a “ferocious” Siena side in today’s relegation tussle.
Only one point separates these teams going into the weekend and they were both promoted from Serie B in the summer.
“The team worked well this week and we are facing a very tough opponent,” said the Coach.
“I expect to take on a ferocious Siena side. Giuseppe Sannino is a great tactician and he was a late-comer to Serie A.
“His teams always work hard, just like him, put a lot of pressure on and, unlike last year with Varese, getting even better results because Siena have a lot of quality.
“We’ve got to be very wary, as Siena have won their last three home games, but I am confident we have prepared as best we can in every respect.”
Luca Cigarini and Andrea Masiello are suspended for this match, while Matteo Brighi and Giampaolo Bellini are injury doubts.
“Atalanta have to understand that, regardless of who is or isn’t in the line-up, the philosophy and approach must not change,” added Colantuono.
“The quality of individuals is not in doubt, but I am convinced every Atalanta player when called upon can fill in admirably.”
