Stefano Colantuono is content Atalanta had a little part to play in Juventus’ Scudetto success this season.
The Old Lady wrapped up their second consecutive title on Sunday with the help of former Nerazzurri players Simone Padoin and Federico Peluso.
“I congratulate Juventus on their Scudetto triumph and boss Antonio Conte on the extraordinary job he’s done over the past two years,” the 50-year-old noted.
“I’m happy for Padoin and Peluso as well,” he added. “They are two magnificent lads who have earned their opportunity to play for a big club.
“They did well with us and are also doing a good job in Turin.”
Atalanta will entertain Juventus in Serie A this evening.
“They are the best team in Italy and it will be very tough,” the former Palermo man commented. “We’ll need to be extremely alert and try to stop them from playing.
“A positive result wouldn’t be impossible with a bit of luck on our side. We’ll give it a go.”
