The defender has one more year to run on his contract and has struggled with injury in recent years.
A new problem flared up during pre-season training, prompting many to believe the Romanian would terminate his contract by mutual consent and move to Dynamo Moscow.
“Chivu would be willing to go, but only in exchange for compensation,” agent Victor Becali told Russian site Izvestia.
“He could only join Dynamo Moscow if he was a free agent. It would be a good deal because Dynamo need a left-footed defender and their manager Dan Petrescu knows Cristian very well.”
It is reported Chivu wants €1m as a ‘golden handshake’ – around half the wages he would earn in his final year at Inter.
