The Gialloblu lost 2-1 in Bergamo but sit outside the relegation places ahead of this weekend’s clash with Genoa.
“Atalanta got a bit of luck on Sunday with the shot that went through the legs” Canini told Chievo’s official channel.
“The team fought until the end, I think that a draw would have been a fairer result.
“Genoa are in a great position, they can now afford to play in a more relaxed way.
“We must now show the same spirit that we have been in the last few matches and look to get the best possible result.”
