The Juventus” data-scaytid=”2″>Juventus defender picked up the knock yesterday, and the Azzurri's chief medical officer, Enrico Castellacci, has confirmed that there are concerns over the 28-year-old's fitness.
“Chiellini reported a trauma to his left ankle,” he told reporters this afternoon. “He also has a problem with the other ankle as well.
“The situation is a worry for us. He did not train today.
“We will have 48 hours to evaluate and decide if he will be with us in Geneva.”
Cesare Prandelli's team play the Selecao in Switzerland later this week, before travelling to Malta for a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
