Serie A new boys Cesena presented their 2014-15 kits, including a pink shirt in honour of Marco Pantani.
The Seahorses earned promotion via the play-offs from Serie B this summer and go up along with Palermo and Empoli.
Today Cesena unveiled their Lotto kit at the Stadio Manuzzi with the first choice jersey in their traditional white with black accents.
The away strip is plain black with the accents in white, a negative image of the other shirt.
Cesena’s third jersey will be pink in honour of cycling champion Pantani, who died in 2004.
He won the Giro d’Italia, which is marked by a pink shirt, so this is represented by the Cesena strip.
“Last year we remembered Pantani with a pink insert, but this time we thought to dedicate an entire jersey to him,” said director Foschi.
