Cagliari chief Massimo Cellino is threatening mass changes over the summer given the club’s lacklustre ending to the campaign.
“There was no competitiveness from the players,” Cellino told Radio 2 on Thursday. “It seems as if the championship ended when we reached 40 points…
“Three years ago we picked up five points from the last five games. Last year three points from the final eight and we only survived in the last instance this time.
“I’ve had enough. I’m going to change half of the team because I do not like the mentality that there is right now.”
Yesterday Cellino confirmed that Massimo Ficcadenti would remain as Coach.
Cagliari finished this season in 15th place, just seven points above relegated Lecce.
