Carpi Coach Fabrizio Castori was “really impressed and surprised” by Roma, so tips them to snatch third place.
The Giallorossi grabbed a 3-1 victory at the Stadio Braglia in Modena, though Kevin Lasagna had temporarily equalised.
“We would’ve been satisfied with the draw, as we were up against a very strong side, so there are regrets at conceding those two late goals,” Castori told Mediaset Premium.

“I was really impressed and surprised by Roma, as they kept the tempo high throughout. I expected them to fall away and let us be more dangerous on the counter. When you lose like this, you have to recognise the quality of your opponents.
“I saw them look tough and with a good sharpness about them in the second half, so this is why I’m tipping Roma to take third place this season.
“Against such good opponents we have to play with two very tight lines, as it’d be suicidal to take them on one-on-one. We have a different attitude against smaller sides.
“We have three forwards with very similar characteristics, so I rotate them and make sure they are all fresh for these energy-sapping games. The important thing is to attack the space, as that is fundamental for our style of football.
“Carpi are still alive, enthusiastic and hungry, so of course we believe in Serie A safety.”
