Antonio Cassano’s season is over after he went under the knife to stabilise a fractured bone in his hand.
The Inter forward is the latest addition to the series of injuries suffered at the club this term, as he fell on to his right hand in training yesterday.
This evening the club released a statement confirming he needed an operation and is therefore out of Sunday’s game with Udinese.
“The Nerazzurri striker successfully underwent surgery following a fracture to the 2nd metacarpal of his right hand.”
It also means Cassano has probably played his last game with Inter, as he is expected to move on in the summer.
