Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali admits Matteo Politano “told us he wants to go” to Napoli, but Juventus are also now interested.
The winger is valued at €25m and in the starting XI for this evening’s Serie A encounter with Atalanta.
“I don’t think it’s Politano’s last game for Sassuolo. It’s true there are many offers and many clubs interested, but our intention right now is to keep him to the end of the season,” Carnevali told Sky Sport Italia.

“We listened not so much to the offers, but to the will of the player, and he told us he wants to go. He said originally it was for Napoli, there are now other clubs interested, so we’ll see what happens.”
Napoli have offered cash plus the loan of Adam Ounas, but Juventus came forward with a proposal of their own over the last couple of days.
The Bianconeri were prompted to approach Politano due to a potentially long-term Juan Cuadrado injury.
