Now, the 32-year-old has revealed just how much of an impact his ex-Italy CT was having on Inter.
“This season's been a different story altogether for Inter,” he said at a Press conference for tomorrow's Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund.
“For me, the Coach is important but he’s just as important for the whole team.
“We’ve seen how in these first few months, he’s helped us move up a level in training and also during matches, both home and away.
“Antonio’s been crucial: now we must keep going like this. We must follow him because he can take us a long way.”
The former Lazio man scored against Dortmund in a 2-0 win at San Siro last month.
