Lazio new boy Felipe Caicedo believes he has joined “the No 1 team in Rome” after taking Lucas Biglia’s old No 20 shirt.
Caicedo only joined Lazio on Wednesday, but the striker has wasted no time in endearing himself to his new fans, not only taking a swipe at Roma but also recognising the importance of his new shirt number.
“I’m so happy to be here,” he told Lazio Style Channel.
“I have very big expectations here and I want to get started with the team right away.

“I’m so happy to be here,” he told Lazio Style Channel.
“I have very big expectations here and I want to get started with the team right away.
“The wait was long, but I finally arrived. Lazio are a great team, they’re the No 1 team in Rome and I’m very happy to be here.
“The sporting director spoke very well about the group to me and what he expected of me.
“I want to help the group as much as I can: I’m a striker and play as a targetman, but I can also play off the shoulder.
“I’m a penalty-box finisher, but I like to play with the ball and dribble, and I’ll try to help the team with my characteristics.
“I absolutely want to train myself to the maximum in order to play in this great League.
“The No 20? I know it's a very important shirt for what Biglia did for Lazio.
“But it’s also a number that I like and it’s brought me a lot of luck at Levante, Manchester City and Espanyol.”
