Cagliari have officially sold Michael Agazzi to Chievo in exchange for Marco Silvestri on loan.
The deal had been in the works for several days and was completed this evening.
Goalkeeper Agazzi had been frozen out of the Cagliari squad after refusing to sign a contract extension and would’ve been a free agent in July.
Milan had been linked with a swoop for Agazzi when he contract expired, but his transfer to Chievo is permanent and so that is now out of the question.
Chievo handed their second choice goalkeeper Silvestri to the Sardinians on loan with option to buy at the end of the season.
Silvestri turns 23 in March and played for Padova last season in Serie B.
