Daniele Cacia has confirmed that he is leaving Verona this summer and reports are he could join Massimo Cellino’s Leeds United.
The 30-year-old forward was a member of the Gialloblu outfit that won promotion to Serie A in 2012-13, but having struggled for game-time behind Luca Toni, he has now indicated his future lies elsewhere.
“My experience ends here, unfortunately,” Cacia has told Verona’s official website this week.

“My experience ends here, unfortunately,” Cacia has told Verona’s official website this week.
“I will take with me many fond memories, especially of the year of the promotion. Due to various reasons I have found few fond memories from the season that has just ended.
“I wanted to stay here for longer but you know, this is football. I could have gone as early as January, but inside I did not want to, because in spite of the bitter pills I was swallowing, to change team would have been even worse, I did not want to, even though I was on the edge of the team.”
The Corriere dello Sport indicate that Cacia, who has a contract until June 2015, could be in line for a switch out to England and to Massimo Cellino’s recently taken over Leeds United.
It is understood that talks between the Elland Road club and the forward are ongoing and could result in an agreement soon.
Cacia managed 24 goals in 52 appearances for Verona.
