Martin Caceres has landed in Italy and will undergo a medical with Milan tomorrow, preparing to sign the four-month contract.
The Uruguay international has been a free agent since his contract with Juventus expired in July 2016.
He had been very close to several clubs during the last few weeks, including Fiorentina and Crystal Palace, but both times the move fell apart.
It’s reported that was due to his excessive wage demands more than the failure of a medical.

Now Sky Sport Italia note Caceres has arrived in Italy this evening for dinner with CEO Adriano Galliani and will have his tests with Milan tomorrow morning.
SportItalia suggest the deal on the table is over €400,000 plus bonuses until June, perhaps with an option for next season.
Milan need reinforcements in defence after injuries to Mattia De Sciglio, Davide Calabria and Luca Antonelli.
However, as Caceres hasn’t played a competitive match in practically a year, he wouldn’t be ready to really contribute for around a month.
