Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny says ‘nothing changes’ at Juventus despite the departure of Gigi Buffon this summer.
The Polish international is set to be the Old Lady’s number one this season after club icon Buffon left following the expiration of his contract.
Speaking to SiriusXM FC, the former Arsenal and Roma shot-stopper said he is unphased by the prospect of being the Bianconeri’s first choice keeper.

Speaking to SiriusXM FC, the former Arsenal and Roma shot-stopper said he is unphased by the prospect of being the Bianconeri’s first choice keeper.
“It wasn’t very different because last year was my first year where I didn’t start the season as the number one,” Szczesny responded when asked whether the absence of Buffon has changed things.
“I always started as number one for Arsenal or Roma, so nothing changes really. I want to prepare myself for the season, lose a couple of kilos I’ve maybe gained…
“We just want to prepare well and make sure we have a good season.”
Szczesny added he has been working hard after joining Juve’s pre-season preparations late, following Poland’s involvement at the World Cup this summer.
“It’s been good, I only came back three days ago, one day before we left for the U.S.
“It’s been very physical, very hard, but that’s what we’re here for.”
