Sassuolo boss Cristian Bucchi believes the 3-0 defeat to Torino was harsh on his side.

The Neroverdi were well in the game at the Stadio Olimpico, but Andrea Belotti’s overhead kick broke the deadlock shortly before half time.

The Granata then added two more goals late in the second half to leave Sassuolo with just one point from their opening two games of the season.

“Harsh result? Yes it was,” Bucchi, who took over as Coach from Eusebio Di Francesco in the summer, reflected post-match.

“I think the performance was there, but we lacked the ruthlessness in front of goal.

“After the first 20 minutes we gave Torino too much.

“We started with our foot on the gas, we got nine corners in a short time and these are chances to take advantage of.

“The balance was tipped by Belotti’s moment of brilliance.

“After that we continued to play, to push.

“I saw positive things but, like at Genoa, we created and were wasteful at the last moment.”
