Bournemouth have agreed a deal to sign midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli from Fiorentina according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio on Thursday evening.

The 26-year-old is expected to fly to England on Friday to sign off on the final details of the deal and to complete his medical.

Di Marzio reports that Bournemouth will pay Fiorentina a fee of €12m plus additional bonuses.

Castrovilli joined Fiorentina from Bari in 2017, before being sent out on a two-year loan to Cremonese in Serie B, where he scored five goals from 55 appearances in all competitions.

Since returning to La Viola for the start of the 2019-20 season, Castrovilli has gone on to make 105 appearances in the top flight, as well as a further 13 in the Coppa Italia and seven in the most recent edition of the Conference League.

In November 2019, he was also handed his first Italy cap by CT Roberto Mancini during a Euro 2020 qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has since added three further caps for the Azzurri to his CV.
