Marco Borriello is reportedly on the verge of leaving Carpi for Atalanta, so won’t join MLS.
The veteran centre-forward had been heavily linked with a move to North America with the likes of Montreal Impact, LA Galaxy and New York Red Bulls.
However, multiple sources including SportItalia and Sky Sport Italia maintain Borriello met with Carpi today to terminate his contract by mutual consent.
This would make him a free agent and he’d then sign on for Atalanta.
