Borja Valero said Fiorentina’s late victory at Pescara was reward for “believing in our passing game right to the end.”
The Delfini had taken the lead and held it for much of the game, but Cristian Tello curled in an equaliser and in stoppages his cross went past everyone to complete the turnaround.
“These three important points, above all because we had to suffer for them,” Borja Valero told Mediaset Premium.

“We conceded a goal on the counter, but we believed in our passing game right to the end and we did it. Pescara were all sat behind the ball and closed all the spaces, running really hard.
“We were patient and controlled the situation well. We have made a step forward tonight.”
Borja Valero was also asked if he had turned down an offer from China in the January transfer window.
“It’s not the first time.”
