Jack Bonaventura warns Sampdoria are “organised and have a lot of quality, so it’s an important test” for Milan.
It kicks off at 11.30 UK time (10.30 GMT), follow the build-up and action from all seven Serie A games on the LIVEBLOG.
“Samp are organised and have a lot of quality. They certainly play good football. This is an important test for us, we’ve got to do what we tested out in training during the week,” the midfielder told Milan TV and Mediaset Premium.
Bonaventura was asked how he is dealing with the new 3-5-1-1 system.
“I was in more or less the same position last season, it’s just that the full-backs are pushed further forward. We’ve got a lot of new players and therefore competition for places, but that is good for the team.
“We can improve a great deal. There are many new players and it’ll take a while to get to 100 per cent, but we are on the right track.
“I was out for two weeks, but now I am training regularly. I’m happy to play today and hope to soon be in peak form.”
