Roma held talks with Laurent Blanc last night about becoming their new Coach, reports L’Equipe.
The Frenchman, without a job since he quit the national side after Euro 2012, is on the Giallorossi’s radar.
The capital club are looking for an Aurelio Andreazzoli replacement, the caretaker boss who was appointed in February following the dismissal of Zdenek Zeman.
Blanc was initially contacted at that time and is again an option after the club failed to lure Walter Mazzarri or Massimiliano Allegri.
Mazzarri has opted to join Inter after ending his stint at Napoli, while Allegri will remain with present side Milan.
Roma are reportedly ready to offer Blanc a two-year contract. Scudetto winning full-back Vincent Candela could be a part of his staff should he make the Olimpico move.
The 47-year-old, a former defender with Napoli and Inter, spent three years as boss of Bordeaux from 2007.
He won the Ligue 1 crown with the latter during the 2008-09 campaign. He’s also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain.
