Milan President Silvio Berlusconi advised several players in his traditional Friday pep talk, above all Jeremy Menez.
The patron visited the Milanello training ground for the 14th time this season, preparing the squad for Sunday’s showdown with Genoa.
“See, when you play in the box, you score. You should fine yourself when you drift away from the penalty area. Stay there, glued to the goalkeeper. Even tell him stories if you like,” Berlusconi told Menez.

He also complimented Stephan El Shaarawy and Fernando Torres, asking how they were doing, before praising the performance against Udinese.
“I just want to point out that people in the crowd were going wild because we were playing in the box. Do you know they called me to say that finally this Milan plays attacking football?
“I am truly happy with your performance. We’ll rotate the squad so all of you will share in the glory and we’ll get back to being the Milan that is in my heart and the hearts of all our fans.
“Speaking of which, a recent survey shows that there are 322 million of our fans in the world.”
CEO Adriano Galliani was also present and spoke to Milan News.
“The sponsors were very happy and the President is in great form. He’s a super presence and fires everyone up. We played very well last Sunday and hope to continue like this.”
