The former defender, who spent five years with Pescara as a player, has agreed a deal until the end of the season.

Bergodi, who also appeared for Lazio, has never bossed in Serie A. He worked for Modena in the second tier last term.

Pescara are in relegation trouble having picked up just 11 points so far this season.
