“I come from English football and remember if a fan swore at you, a policeman arrived moments later to take him away,” said the former Liverpool and Chelsea manager in today’s Press conference.

“That doesn’t happen here. Instead they fine the clubs, but these are the laws at the moment and we have to abide by them.
“When there are racist chants, we should close the stadiums, that way someone might learn their lesson. Instead here they put the blame on the club, who have to pay a fine. That’s three steps back.
“I remember an interview where Marco Di Vaio said he couldn’t bring his family to the stadium. The spectators of the future ought to be children.”
