Rafa Benitez has commented on his start as Napoli boss, Rudi Garcia’s impressive record for Roma, and the Partenopei’s clash with Marseille.
The Stadio San Paolo club host the French side in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, and the Spanish tactician believes that it is a must-win game.
“It’s going to be a very important game for us,” he told Eurogoals. “Especially since we have Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal coming up.
“It’s going to be a real challenge to qualify , so it’s critical that we beat Marseille. It is true that they are going through a difficult period, but they have quality in their squad.
“We can’t relax and think it’ll be easy. That would be unforgivable.”
Benitez then remarked on Roma’s record-breaking beginning to the campaign, and his start to life in Serie A.
“Napoli had a great season last year, finishing second – playing a style mostly on the counter-attack and helped thanks to goals from Cavani.
“But now we are a team that isn’t dependant on a single individual – we have so many good players now.
“Rudi [Garcia] is a friend of mine, as well as an excellent Coach. He is doing an amazing job.”
