Rafa Benitez hailed Napoli’s “almost perfect attitude” during a 2-0 Europa League victory over Slovan Bratislava.

That result confirmed their 100 per cent record in Group I, leading on six points ahead of Young Boys and Sparta Prague on three each.

“I substituted Hamsik towards the end because it was only right to give him that recognition of applause from the fans in Slovakia. It seemed positive to me,” said Benitez in the post-match Press conference.

“I said all season that we deserved more and just needed a bit of luck. Slovan have quality players and when they run at your defence they do cause problems.

“In the second half Milinkovic came on and he’s very good at finding space. We scored with two headers? That’s just a coincidence, though it means we got into those positions and that is very positive.

“We had the game under control and I really liked the attitude, which was almost perfect, as the team was calm and needed that confidence. We must now continue along that path, as everyone knew what they had to do.

“What are our chances of qualifying? I am not playing this game this year. We take it one match at a time and qualification is still a long way away. The team is in good shape and with a bit of luck we could win every game.”
