Italy midfielder Marco Benassi does not think England are “over-rated” ahead of tomorrow’s European Under-21 Championship clash.
The Azzurrini need a victory to progress, but also have to hope Portugal don’t draw with Sweden in the other Group B game.
“Tomorrow we must not lack grit and determination, as we’re gambling everything we’ve got,” said the Torino man in a Press conference.

The Swedish Coach had said England were “over-rated” ahead of their 1-0 defeat, so how do Italy view Harry Kane’s side?
“I don’t think they are over-rated. If they got to this stage, it means they must have a great team.
“We’ll do everything to win and then see what happened in the other game. This is like a knockout fixture for us, so we have to get the victory.”
So far Italy have just one point from two games, losing 2-1 to Sweden in stoppages and held 0-0 by Portugal.
Stefano Sturaro is still suspended, so Benassi has moved from the bench to becoming a firm favourite in midfield.
“I remained very relaxed and tried to ensure I was ready when called upon.”
