Milan’s Daniele Bonera thinks it is premature to suggest that the Mario Balotelli and Stephan El Shaarawy partnership doesn’t work.
The duo have been fielded together for club and country, but there are doubts over whether they can co-exist in the same side.
“Balotelli has only just arrived,” the defender told Sky Sport Italia after Super Mario’s January arrival from Manchester City.
“There is a process of growth that needs to occur between himself and El Shaarawy because they have yet to really get to know each other.
“They haven’t had the opportunity to play in that many games together and certain mechanisms on the pitch need to be refined.”
Balotelli has scored seven goals in eight League games for the Diavolo, but only one of El Shaarawy’s 16 strikes have arrived following the arrival of his new teammate.
