Mario Balotelli has been dropped from the Nice squad, but Coach Patrick Vieira assures “I have no doubts about his desire”.
The Italian international missed most of pre-season due to a transfer saga involving Marseille, and appeared noticeably out of shape on his return.
Super Mario is yet to score this season, and has been dropped from the squad entirely for tomorrow’s Toulouse game.
“I’m expecting a lot from him, just like Dante and Christophe [Jallet],” Vieira said in his pre-match Press conference.

“I’m expecting a lot from him, just like Dante and Christophe [Jallet],” Vieira said in his pre-match Press conference.
“Mario is working well, he had a very good session this morning. I have no doubts about his desire.
“He has the means to get back to his level, but it won’t happen overnight. I’ll give him time, he knows himself very well and he’s well aware of his performances.
“Why was he benched against Paris Saint-Germain? I don’t have to explain my choices.”
Italy CT Roberto Mancini has included Balotelli in each of his squads so far, but it remains to be seen if he'll keep his place for the October fixtures.
