Palermo Coach Davide Ballardini said they “threatened to win” in the 1-1 draw away to Inter.
The Rosanero had taken the lead through a deflected Andrea Rispoli strike, but Mauro Icardi’s glancing header snatched a point.
“We threatened to win here, because after going 1-0 up we could’ve closed it,” Ballardini told Sky Sport Italia.

“I compliment my team, as a draw is a creditable result in Milan. Our performance was also decent against Sassuolo, despite the defeat, so I expected similar.”
Ballardini was asked about Palermo’s confirmed attempts to get Mario Balotelli on loan from Liverpool.
“I was asked if I’d like to have him in my squad and I said yes.”
