Roma director general Mauro Baldissoni insists there is “no Francesco Totti situation” with Luciano Spalletti.
He spoke to Mediaset Premium ahead of tonight’s game with Torino, follow the action from all seven Serie A matches on the LIVEBLOG.
“Tonight’s game is the most important thing and we are concentrated only on the 90 minutes,” said Baldissoni when asked about reports Totti and Spalletti had a fight after the 3-3 draw with Atalanta.
“The Totti ‘situation’ was never an issue. His famous interview made the media speculate, but nothing happened in Bergamo.
“Tension is normal after a draw, it happens. Spalletti spoke to all his players and it’s good if there is a peaceful confrontation between sides after a negative result.
“The important thing is to all have the same objective, the rest is just idle chatter that does not interest us.
“Totti and Spalletti are compatible, they’ve known each other for a long time and work together every day.
“The only thing that isn’t missing here is clarity between Francesco and the club. The fact we haven’t released formal statements does not mean there isn’t clarity between us.”
