The Barcelona Coach arrives for tonight’s Champions League fixture and is back at the Olimpico, where he finished seventh in the 2011-12 Serie A season.
“We were just at the beginning with Luis Enrique and that was supposed to be a construction year without any big objectives,” Baldissoni told Mediaset Premium.
“The team improved, but we remember Luis Enrique with admiration and affection.”
The Lupi were thrashed 7-1 here last season by Bayern Munich, so could there be a repeat against the reigning champions?
“The important thing for Roma is to be taking part in games like this and we are proud, because we deserve to be here. We aren’t at Barcelona’s level yet, but the construction process has not finished.
“The Bayern game was a situation that is very unlikely to be repeated. Are we feeling the pressure? To be honest, we felt more nervous ahead of Saturday’s game with Frosinone.
“Today we know that we cannot be superior to Barcelona, but we’ve got it all to gain.”
