The former England team manager and right hand man to Fabio Capello spoke to RAI Sport ahead of the Coppa Italia Final against Lazio.
“This is a game we have to win and the first Final of this kind. It can allow us to earn a silver star for 10 Coppa victories, which just gives you an idea of the importance of this game,” said Baldini.
“I’ve never felt so much tension, not even ahead of a World Cup quarter-final. It doesn’t touch it. This game represents an entire city that is not happy with recent seasons.”
It should also be the last match for Aurelio Andreazzoli, though a new Coach has not been chosen yet.
“From tomorrow we will see what happens. I hope this is a festival of sport and the only battle we see is on the field. May the best team win – which hopefully is us!”
