There are reports Milan have agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan for €3m with option to buy for another €30m.
According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the compromise was achieved after the Rossoneri initially baulked at the €32m asking price.
It remains to be seen how the 26-year-old will deal with the news, as he was frustrated at constantly being loaned out since joining Chelsea for €40m in 2017.

It remains to be seen how the 26-year-old will deal with the news, as he was frustrated at constantly being loaned out since joining Chelsea for €40m in 2017.
He already had a loan spell at Milan in 2018-19 at a cost of €5m, but at that time the club was not ready to activate the €40m purchase option.
Bakayoko then had another loan at Monaco last season, but seemed determined to make his return to San Siro.
The Sky Sport Italia report claims the two clubs have agreed a €3m loan with option to buy for another €30m at the end of the season.
The final part of the puzzle is working out personal terms with Bakayoko for if and when Milan buy him outright.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere della Sera and Tuttosport all insist the situation is not progressing rapidly.
This would be yet another loan for Milan, who have just signed Brahim Diaz without an option to buy from Real Madrid.
They are currently in the process of negotiating a permanent exchange between Andre Silva and Ante Rebic midway through a two-year loan agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt.
