The Coach left Roma at the end of the season, and it has been clear for several weeks that he’ll take over at San Siro.
Today the tactician is flying out to the Far East to meet Nerazzurri owners Suning, and he’s accompanied by the club’s sporting director.
“We’re going together because we want to present the Inter Coach to the owners,” Ausilio told reporters assembled in Malpensa airport.
“It’s a simple thing, the least we can do. The facts are clear, we’ve never talked, we only thought and the only thing we thought about was bringing Spalletti to Inter.
“Just as soon as there was a chance to do that we made it feasible. It’s still not official, but everything is going in this direction.
“Let’s start in a way that means Inter can immediately set ourselves against the [other] big teams.
“Is Spalletti’s signing a formality? To me it all seems clear and obvious.”
Ausilio was also asked about Ivan Perisic, who it’s rumoured they could sell to meet Financial Fair Play obligations.
“We still haven’t talked about anything.”
