“We signed Gabigol to give something different to our attack. We’ll have some fun and it’ll be interesting for Frank de Boer to work with all these different strikers,” director of sport Ausilio told Mediaset Premium.
“Up until a few days ago I didn’t think it was possible to complete these two moves, but the owners proved themselves very generous.
“I think we have built a competitive squad and want to find an identity to get results, because in Italy the only thing that counts is the result.
“I don’t think we need a new defender. Gary Medel can play in a few different roles and Marco Andreolli is recovering.”
Jovetic is not in the squad today, as he’s on the verge of joining his old club Fiorentina.
“We are talking about it to Fiorentina and I will not rule out his departure,” noted Ausilio.
“I already said Brozovic would not go to Juventus or any other Italian club. He can be useful for Inter and I’d say he could stay with us. In a few days it’ll all be easier for him too, he needs to relax and ignore the transfer gossip.
“We have started talking to Mauro Icardi about a contract renewal. He asked me to do everything to ensure Inter represented his future.”
