Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has admitted he’d prefer not to do business with Juventus.

In January the two clubs had agreed to a swap deal, with Mirko Vucinic heading to the Nerazzurri, and Fredy Guarin making the short trip to Turin.

Both players had agreed to the move, and Vucinic had already passed an Inter medical, only for Serpenti owner Erick Thohir to veto the deal and rupture relations between the two clubs.

While Ausilio insists there is no lasting animosity between the clubs, he has commented that he’d prefer not to do business with Juve.

“I want to make it clear – the relationship between us and the Juventus hierarchy – Marotta and Paratici – is one of mutual esteem and respect,” Ausilio has told Tuttosport.

“That being said, if I can buy a player from another team, or sell to another team that would certainly be preferable. I definitely wouldn’t do an exchange with Juve now.

“If they offered Vidal for €5m? I know all about Juventus’ good players, if the deal was right I’d think about it.

“I’m talking mainly about swap deals. At the end of the day, there are so many clubs in Europe, I can find someone else to deal with.”

In 2017, Ausilio will mark his 20th year with Inter, and the 47-year-old admits such a long relationship with the Nerazzurri would make it difficult to move elsewhere – particularly Juventus.

“If Juventus offered me a job? I’ve been at Inter for almost 20 years, I started as secretary of the youth team and I dreamed of one day being the sporting director. So I’d say ‘No thanks’.

“Never say never of course, but since I’m 42 and I can’t stay at Inter for life, once my adventure with Inter is over I’d like to have an experience abroad, which would also be good for my family.”
