Atalanta striker Gianluca Scamacca has suffered a muscle injury and will miss Thursday’s Europa League fixture against Rakow Czestochowa.
The former West Ham striker was introduced in the second half of Atalanta’s 3-2 loss against Fiorentina on Sunday.
Sky Sport Italia claims Scamaccca suffered an injury to the flexor of his left thigh at the Stadio Franchi, so he will miss Thursday’s Europa League group stage opener against Rakow Czestochowa.
According to Calciomercato.com, Scamacca will undergo further medical examination on Wednesday but is expected to miss Atalanta’s next Serie A game against Cagliari too.
