Atalanta are standing firm in their refusal to sell Rasmus Hojlund for less than his market value, rejecting all Manchester United attempts to include players in an exchange deal.

It is no secret that the Old Trafford side are targeting Hojlund after his sensational debut Serie A season, where he scored nine goals and provided four assists in 32 games.

Still only 20 years of age and with a great future ahead of him, La Dea are in absolutely no rush to sell him on so soon after investing €17.2m to sign him from Sturm Graz last summer.

According to The Athletic, Manchester United have tried to include several players in a part exchange deal to lower the cost of the operation, with names like Donny van de Beek, Fred and Scott McTominay proposed.

However, Atalanta are adamant and if anything have increased the asking price for Hojlund, with reports it has gone from €60m to almost €100m.

Denmark international Hojlund is seen as the new Erling Haaland and Atalanta believe his value will only increase with another year in Bergamo.
