Atalanta have distanced themselves from reports that they want to rehire Juventus boss Gigi Del Neri.
The latter has been linked with a return to the club whom he bossed with some success between 2007 and 2009.
Expected to leave Juve after a problematic first campaign in Turin, Atalanta have been associated with his services.
"It's fantasy football," said Atalanta sporting director Gabriele Zamagna. "We've been hearing this rumour for a few months now, but we have been clear.

"It's fantasy football," said Atalanta sporting director Gabriele Zamagna. "We've been hearing this rumour for a few months now, but we have been clear.
"Should we get promotion back to Serie A then we will continue with Stefano Colantuono."
The latter has masterminded the Bergamo club's wonderful campaign to date and his contract is quite clear.
"Colantuono is one of the protagonists of this season," Zamagna added. "If we go up then his contract is automatically renewed with us…"
Atalanta, currently second in the Serie B behind Siena, are away at Livorno this weekend.
