Daniele Arrigoni hopes Cesena can catch Milan off guard this afternoon, but won’t adjust his tactics. “I’ve chosen my path and am sticking with it.”
The Rossoneri are fresh from thrashing Arsenal 4-0 in the Champions League, but visit the artificial turf at the Stadio Manuzzi.
“We’ve got to reach 40 points and secure our safety, taking every opportunity that comes our way,” said the Coach.
“I have no intention of changing tactics against big clubs like Milan. I’ve chosen my path and am sticking to it. Milan are missing some key players, but I’d say the replacements are more than impressive.
“It was important to come together during the week and focus on fitness work, as our schedule has been shaken up recently.
“I spoke to the players for a long time and we’ve got to believe that we can win, even when things start to go wrong.”
It is an issue for Cesena, who were leading 2-0 away to 10-man Lazio last week only to lose 3-2.
“We mustn’t make the mistake of thinking that just because we have Adrian Mutu and Vincenzo Iaquinta, then we’ll get points. Results are achieved by the whole team fighting for every ball.”
