Daniele Arrigoni is still smarting from Cesena’s Coppa Italia elimination, but has to focus his men on the Novara “relegation play-off.”

The Sea Horses were winning for most of their midweek tie at the San Paolo before eventually falling 2-1 to Napoli in the final minutes.

“It’s a shame that we were knocked out, though I feel anger at that and want to channel it positively into the next performance,” said the Coach.

“The real problem is that those who played in Naples won’t be sharp against Novara. We need everyone to be at 100 per cent, because to all intents and purposes this is a relegation play-off.

“Novara are a very attacking side with good stamina, while they have improved considerably in terms of technique.

“The three-man defence is an option for us, but I want to get there gradually so it can give the team some important alternatives. In some cases it can be particularly useful to have that extra weapon.”
